Batik/Hand Dyed Heart Quilt
These blocks were part of the batik or hand dyed heart
swap.
I stippled the white on white fabrics and left the
hearts alone...I think it really makes them pop out!
This quilt was displayed at the Peace by Piecing Quilt
Show 2002.
It was also entered into the 2002 NC State Fair under
the Beginners Category, and it won!
It also won First place in the mixed technique category
at the 2005 North Florida Fair.

Surf the Web: Siggies from Online Quilters
This quilt is focused around the signatures from
quilters on the internet. They we kind enough to send me their signatures.
To everyone that sent me their signature, Thank you!!
The yellow and purple fabrics were from a monthly swap I
participated in for a few months and they give it a great scrappy yet
cheery look!
I stippled the yellow and purple areas. The siggies
sorta pop out!
This quilt was displayed at the Peace by Piecing Quilt
Show 2002 and the 2004 North Florida Fair, where it won 1st place pieced
quilts and Best of Show.

Pink and Purple Flannel Fuzzy
This ragged flannel "quilt" is for me. One of our dogs
has decided that she likes the blue and yellow one I made before, so I had
to make me one if I didn't want to be cold.
This one is bigger than the blue and gold one.
Approx. 55" x 60"

Quiltin' Sisters Pal Quilt
I joined the Quiltin' Sisters for July-December 2001. We
each had a pal, mine was Kate:)
Each month had an assigned color. We exchanged a fat
quarter of that month's color along with a block made of those colors and
white on white. I made an extra one of what I sent Kate so I would have
one too:)
Along with great fabric and blocks, we exchanged emails,
little gifts and friendship!
This is the quilt that I made with our blocks, and also
the FQs. The border fabric is from our FQs and the backing and binding are
pieced together from the FQs.

Puffy Ties
This is a quick and cute quilt to donate to one of my
guild's charities. I used thick batting so its nice and puffy, and
colorful strips of fabric were tacked on by machine and then tied in a
knot. I hope it makes a little one feel special.

Flannel Hand Dyed Quilt - Blue
This quilt was commissioned by a man from the internet.
He wanted a quilt like my blue and gold rag quilt, except he wanted it
bigger and heavier. So I hand dyed blue and brown flannel and made
the top and then dyed blue flannel for the backing. After it was
quilted and bound, I can truly say its heavy!

Rainy Day Sue
This block was part of a Calendar Sue swap...the swap
didn't have full participation, so I took this one block and made a little
something for my door for April.
Sue is all dressed up in rain gear, walking thru a
puddle, so I decided to quilt in the rain.

Pastel Baby Quilt
This quilt was commissioned for a baby, but the parents
decided not to find out if it was a boy or girl. So I chose 4 colors
of the same print to make the top. The backing is an Aunt Grace
flannel, with the same pastel colored little animals on it. I love
this flannel fabric, and hope that the baby will love the whole thing:)

Blue Balloons
This little quilt was made at my quilt guild's Charity
Sewing Day. All the supplies were donated by guild members or local
businesses. I choose to piece this quilt out of a balloon print and
solid blue. The backing is a white seersucker fabric. It was
quilted using the flip and sew method. I got this one done that day
and even got together some supplies to bring home to make a couple more.
All for a good cause!

Bright Mice!
This is for my guild's charity. The fabrics are
bright colored mice on the front and a solid blue for the back. I
stippled it with silver thread. Something cute and warm for a little
one!

Stippled and Tied
I tied this quilt with the pink print fabric. It
just seemed to need something else, so I stippled it around the ties.
I think it will last a long time for some little one. This one is
also to go to charity.

Patriotic Mystery Quilt
This quilt was a mystery pattern
on the Down Home Quilting site. I used a red with white stars print, a blue with white
stars print and solid white. Very Patriotic!
I bound it with alternating strips of the red and the
blue fabric used in the top. The backing is a red, white and blue
calico squares print. I made a label and drew a star with a flag on
it. Approx. 36" x 36"

Our Crazy Trip to Oz! - Wizard of Oz Challenge Quilt
This quilt is for a local quilt shop's Wizard of Oz
challenge. Each participant bought a packet of 6 Wizard of Oz FQs.
You could do anything within a size range and add any fabrics you wanted.
I was awarded the third place ribbon!!
The border is paper pieced so it kind of looks like a
crazy quilt, and the center design is hand painted. The label is also
painted.
The center is stipple quilted, and the crazy pieced part is
stitched in the ditch.
It took about 60 hours total for this quilt. I'm
glad to be done:)
This quilt was also displayed at the Peace by Piecing Quilt
Show 2002, NC State Fair in 2002, '03 NC Quilt Symposium Quilt Show and
the 2004 North Florida Fair where it won 1st place in Novelty Quilts.
It has also won the 1st place ribbon in the painted quilts category of the
2005 Columbia County Fair.

Autumn Stars
This little quilt is made out of the same line of
fabric. There are 4 colors and 2 prints. I think the stars
really pop out.
I stippled the whole thing on my new Juki TL 98-E, and
it took less than half an hour!

Raggedy Spring Flowers - Let It Ravel Quilt
This quilt is made from 13 blocks from the CQP's Let It
Ravel Swap. The pieces of the blocks are sewn on top of a solid
block, leaving a quarter inch around the stitching which ravels when it is
washed.
Flowers were big entries in the swap so I took the 12
flower blocks out of the 20 I had and made the top from them. The
cute bee on the back was just too irresistible. I wanted to include
it in the quilt top, but there the other blocks didn't fit in with the
flower theme, so I let the bee fly around the back of the quilt.
I used flannel for the batting, so it is a light weight
quilt. I just stitched around the blocks, and the outside so it will
ravel also!

The brown fabric had seed packets on it and the blue matches some of the
blue in the seed packs.

Pink Flowers
This is another quilt for my local guild's charities.
The pink paisley fabric is very pretty and the two solids and two prints
compliment it. I stippled this quilt and had fun!
